How can I change the order of my front page stories?
The front page is a special case of a blog-view type of page. You can specify how this blog-view is presented by going to the menu item in question, it's probably called Home. On the right side is listed a lot of parameters. For Category Order choose "No, primary ordering only" unless you have some good reason, and for Primary Order choose "Front Page Ordering". Now the order on your front page will follow the order of stories as they appear in Front Page Manager.
