An article or item has become locked, how to unlock?

If a little lock symbol is showing for an article, module or other item, it means that Joomla considers it to be under editing. In a multi-user environment this can mean that someone else is working on the item. But if you are alone, it usually means that you have left an item without either saving or cancelling properly. For instance by just using the back button to get out of an article. You can unlock the item by going into it again and this time leaving by saving or cancelling. If there are lots of locked items you can go to System->Global Checkin. |
