I have installed a new component - how do I link to it?
Provided what you have installed is a component, not a module or plugin, here's how to make a menu pointing to your new component: Go to the menu you want it in, probably main menu. Click on New to create a new menu item. In the first screen that comes up, choose Component. Now you will see a list of possible components you can link to. Your new component should be in that list. Choose it and go ahead with the rest of the menu item creation.
