I want to create a link to another page on my site

Unfortunately this is not quite as straightforward as it maybe could have been. The way I do it is: The page you want to link to must already exist. Bring up your site in the browser using e.g. Site->Preview in New Window, then navigate to the page you want to link to. If this page is not easily accessible, what you could do is to create a temporary menu item that links to this page, and then use that menu to get to the page. Copy the part of the link from the address field that starts after the first slash following your URL. So if the URL is http://www.yoursite.com/index?com=blah&item=blah... then copy the part starting with index and to the end. Now use this link in the normal fashion to create a link in your document, e.g by highlighting the word you want to use as link and clicking the link icon in the editor. |
